Default Home Brewers

My first post! My wife and I bought a pre-owned home in July but weren't planning on retiring for a couple of years. As it turns out, my Mom (89) who still lives in the home I was brought up in needs to move to a place without stairs. What better place for her is there than TV? So...........we are retiring early to take care of her. Our VT home is on the market, as soon as it sells we'll be on our way!

I'm an avid home brewer of beer and wine hoping to meet some of the same. I don't see a club for this. Maybe I can start one. What do you all think?

Sounds great, I'd like to apply for quality control supervisor, if you give me a couple gallons from each batch I can let you know if it passes inspection....bottabing.....gn

I see this is your first post, so welcome to TOTV.

I want to sign-up as an official taster of all the products you brew.

It's a great idea as the idea of making one's own beer and wine is gaining popularity.

I hope to move to TV as soon as my place sells.

Best wishes on the future sale of your home.

After trying some local microbrews for the first time, I think I would like to give brewing a shot. We should be down in late spring or early summer. I'll be in touch.

Thanks for all of the taste tester offers! I'll have to think about it..............NOT! I am by no means an expert but all of my VT neighbors say my beers are better than the micros around here. It's easy to do but it does take some time (I'll have plenty of that soon).

My husband would be interested in this club if you get it going. His grandfather use to make his own wine. He has expressed an interest in brewing.

Default Let's Brew

We are currently waiting for our house to be built and all my beer making equipment is in storage. But once we move in, I'M READY! I was a member of a club in Lake Jackson, TX for several years. Our name...Brew Bayou. Like the pun? I've been without brew for a couple of years but I'm ready to start again. We will have to look around for a supply shop, perhaps in Orlando. Love to get brewing again

Bottaboom, welcome to TOTV! When it comes to offering to be a taster, I see a bunch of people beat me to the "punch". Even so, I do hope you move to my neighborhood in Springdale. I'll brew some coffee for you.

p.s., Mgman-- I love the name of your old brewing club. That's adorable.

Thank you all for the "welcome"! We'll have to see if we can make this thing happen. Winter in Florida should be great for brewing.

I wonder if there is anywhere near TV to get brewing supplies or will you need to order online? I currently make my own beer up here in NE and learned that bottling is a pain so we keg it. I would be interested in brewing in TV myself.

I get all of my supplies from Midwest. I still bottle, it's more work but I enjoy it. I use 22oz bottles so it takes less time.

I have been interested in home brewing for years but never had the nerve to try. I would be very interested in joining (and helping) the club if it is started. Please keep me informed.
