On May 10, 2025 Cynthia Evans, Junior American Citizens/ROTC Chair for the Puc Puggy Chapter NSDAR presented the Outstanding Navy Cadet Award Medal to Haylee Lane at South Sumter High School. In the future Lane plans to pursue a degree in law enforcement. Because the school has decided to discontinue the program, Lane will be the last recipient at the school. Congratulations, Haylee!
