Ohio State gets unanimous pre-season first place ranking
Gee. A defending national champion with the 42nd toughest schedule gets ranked #1. The only SEC team with an easier schedule than Ohio State is Missouri.

For a team to start the season the way they did, to go through all of the adversity with quarterbacks and to then win the nation championship, everyone else is envious as heck. Go Bucks!

BAD News for Ohio State Fans
From the Washington Post:
"As far as an indication of how Ohio State might do, the preseason poll isnt always a good omen. The Buckeyes were the No. 1 preseason pick in 1998 and 2006 and both times finished second nationally. The last team to win the national title after being ranked first in the preseason poll was USC in 2004 and the Trojans championship was vacated because of NCAA rules violations.
