Default Just back from the Apple Store

I switched to Apple products a few years ago, and have had relatively few problems.

A few days ago my 27" LED Cinema monitor started making an occasional buzzing sound. Made an appointment online at the Millenia store. Arrived on time to a very crowded store. Check in, after 10 minutes talked to a rep for detailed description of problem. Another 10 minutes to get a tech to try to diagnose the problem. First checked out my MacBook Pro to make sure it was not the source of the problem. Then spent about 15 minutes trying to replicate the problem on their test bench. No luck, and suggested it might be something environmental causing interference. I asked them to take another look, and after about 20 minutes they were able to recreate the problem.

Since it was still under warranty, I left it for repairs at no cost.

Can't believe how easy repairs are with Apple products. They are very efficient and couldn't be more helpful.

Default Nice to hear

Thanks for sharing your story at the Apple Store.
Nice to hear such good service stories.
I have been an Apple guy for years and am always happy
to hear how great their service has been...recently.
Buying their stock has been as rewarding as their products
over the years.

Cool

I can also vouch for the helpfulness of the Apple Store Genius Bar.

About 2 weeks ago, my 4 year old Macbook Pro refused to boot up. I got an appointment with the Genius Bar and took it to Millennia Mall. It would not boot for them either, but they informed me that Nvidia had a problem with their video processors and mine was one of the models affected. Therefore, they said they would replace the Logic board (Motherboard) for free. This is a $700 repair! This system was completely out of warranty! Got the computer back 2 days later; good as new.

Can't say enough good things about the Apple Store and staff.

I fought becoming an Applehead for years and now that I've converted I'll never go back. They're about twice as expensive as the other guys but well worth it.

It is just off of I-4 near the turnpike. About an hour drive.

Really makes no difference in your warranty or anything else. Bestbuy is closer than the Apple Store... If you go to Bestbuy, don't let them sell your a refurbished model, unless that is what you want, for less money. If you do buy a refurbished, make sure you know what the warranty is and from whom.

We just bought an iPad2 from Target (in Chicago) and got a $50 Target card, We used that to buy $50 worth of iTunes cards for music, books, movies...
