Don't forget to look for, and clean up, spyware on your computer.
Spybot Search & Destroy is a great program for that - and free, too. Another free one is Ad-Aware. Neither of those 2 programs will put more spyware on your computer, as a lot of the others do.

I agree on the following:
"I used Norton for about 6-7 years until the 2006 version. It became an incredible resource hog. "
I wouldn't use either Norton or McAfee on any of my computers any more. AVG is not only free, but it updates and runs automatically and is NOT a resource hog.
