Default E-Mails with Pictures

I am able to receive e-mails which include pictures (not as an attachment, but part of the actual e-mail). But when I forward the e-mail to anyone, they receive the e-mail but where the picture should be is an empty box. Is there some setting I need to change on my computer so my recepients get the picture as well? I appreciate any help you can be.

You might want to look at your email settings first.

Not knowing what email program you use, one possibility is to save the picture to your computer first and then attach it to your outgoing email.

Usually you can "right click" on the picture and choose the "save picture as" option

I have embarqmail.com. The type of e-mail I am referring to is one that may have a picture with a caption under it (which explains the picture) or it could be part of a cartoon or joke with a caption under it. These are usually forwarded e-mails that I have received from friends. I receive them fine but when I go to forward them, the people I send to receive only the typed portion; no picture(s). If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks again.

I have AOL, if I send a picture I received in email and send to someone else with Aol. no problem. Some mail programs do not work, so I right click on the picture on my email, and then 'save as'. I then attach it to another email to send

I looked at a quick tour of embarq email at their site and it appears you have a "preferences" tab. Look to see if there is a check next to "download pictures automatically in email." That may, or may not be making the difference.
Looks as if you could email or call embarq with the question too.

Thank you very much for the advice. I will check with Embarq if necessary.
