Default Firefox 3.5

Has anybody downloaded the 3.5 yet. I have the Firefox 3 and have been reading up on the 3.5. They say the transition is harmless. Any thoughts.

The upgrade is harmless and 3.5 is faster than 3.0. Go for it!

You should at least try Explorer 8. There is a world of difference from Explorer 7. Google Chrome is another good option - it's very fast.

Default Consider Security

Explorer continues to have security problems. I rarely use it. Have both Opera and Firefox installed. Both offer superior features, Really like Opera's speed dial feature.

In the end result, it's what you are comfortable with,

It will be easy to do. If I remember correctly, during the Firefox installation, it will ask if you want to import your Internet Explorer favorites. bottom line, if you don't like Firefox, just uninstall it. By the way, upgrading to Internet Explorer 8 is also good advice.

Transfer to Firefox wouldn't be a problem, however I wouldn't uninstall your Windows Explorer 7 as you may want to return to it. I'm told by a number of users to avoid Explorer 8 as it's not as good as Explorer 7.

I try different browsers and seem to always return to Explorer 7 for less browser problems.

I used the Beta of Explorer 8 long before it was available to the general public and I had absolutely no problems with it then nor now. I believe it to be a vast improvement on earlier versions of Explorer. You may want to ask those many users for specifics of what it was they didn't like. The reviews have been excellent and updates from MicroSoft have been few and far between.

I agree that IE8 is much better than 7. Don't now of any reason to stay with 7.
