How is that possible?

On Safari, the "refresh" is always on the right side of the current address bar, as far as I've ever seen. I don't use Safari, but I just fired it up (under 15.3) and it's on the right.

You are correct. It is to the right of the address bar. It looked like the poster was showing it up on the top right. Most likely, it's my mistake. I make them quite frequently.

Oh wow. Thank you for that. I use this MacBook everyday and thought I stayed well on top of updates. Time Capsule daily. I better check the update status right away.

You can use Chrome on your Mac. You don’t have to use safari.

It's always baffled me, why folks make the effort to move into the Apple Eco-System for it's ease of use, security and compatibilities ... then proceed to infect the system, with legacy, non-native software from Microsoft or Google

It's sort of like buying a $5000 custom made suit from a decent haberdasher and wearing footwear from Payless Shoes.

Or getting fit for $3000 Honma irons and playing golf balls from Costco.

Weird, so I went through a coupla updates this morning until it stopped and told me no more updates were available. Here's the current status (image below). For reference, it's a MacBook Air, 2018 Retina 13-inch, 1.6GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, w 8 GB memory.

No compatible. Here you go.

5 years of 100% compatibility seems to be the Apple standard, although it varies with the product.

Ahhh, that 'splains it. On its way to obsolescence. I wasn't expecting it so soon since I was able to get updates on my MacBook 2009 for nine years before I replaced it.

Your Sequoia limitation in your 2018 model may be tied to the older Intel processor. As you may know, Apple moved their processors away from Intel in 2020. Now, Apple’s OS and apps are optimized for their own silicon processors.

I likely face the same OS limitation as you for one of my Macs that is a 2019 Intel model.

Yup. Just bought a new MacBook Air Sunday. My "old" MBAir was running fine. No issues at all but since it was from 2015 it would not update any further. I was cautioned no more WORD or EXCEL updates, some newer features missing and the final straw was it would not run Turbo Tax 2024.

Time to admit 8 years was a great run with no issues at all from power, keyboard, BLUE SCREENs or storage limitations. I received $90 trade in at the Apple store and they transferred data.

The new MacBooks run on Apple chips (not INTEL) and the Apple Genius said I should get at least 10 years out of this MBAir. I was thrilled with 8 years ! My Windows laptops are replaced every 4 years by my employer due to hardware or software issues. I have the company's IMS Help Desk in my iPhone favorites--I call them a lot....

Side note--I could not immediately run CHROME on the new laptop. I did all the software updates Sunday night watching the game but when I tried to load CHROME on Tuesday it seems there was an update to IOS Sequoia that I had to download to run CHROME.

I use CHROME for work computer (WINDOWS) so all my "work" tabs are still accessible on my laptop at home but I use SAFARI for my personal stuff on my iPhone, MAC Desktop, Laptop and iPad.

Love Apple. That is only my 3rd MacBook laptop since 2007. Can't complain about that.

Don't forget, I believe Apple still offers 10% discount online to veterans.
