I use a PC in conjunction with my iPhone. I have had no problems.

In my humble opinion it comes down to money. You can buy three PCs for the price of a Mac. You can buy a new PC for what it costs to repair a Mac.

Just something worth considering.

I have a high end ThinkPad laptop, an iPad and iPhone from Apple. All have good points and bad points. I am very satisfied with the ThinkPad and iPhone. Not so much the iPad. It is OK for games but for every thing else I do one of the other devices work better. So will probably never upgrade the iPad.

Macs are ok if you don't mind paying top dollar. The idea that Macs are not susceptible to viruses is a myth. The PC world is overall a better value.

I don't understand that. Since getting the iPad3, I go days without opening my Mac except for checking iTunes podcast. There are a lot of people that take business trips without their laptops now. Only concern is if there is a LOT of typing due to keyboard. They do make wireless keyboards.

Five years and I have NEVER had a virus on my Mac. You are seldom dissatisfied with the best. Only get what you pay for.

I vote for an Apple store in TV!! I have to go to Orlando next week to get a new iPad. It's a warranty replacement, so I can't get it at the ATT store (where I bought the original). If there had been a store here a week ago, I would be typing this on a mac right now. My laptop crashed. I was ready to throw it out the door, but since my next one will be a mac, for sure, and I couldn't get one easily, I worked on this piece of garbage for a couple of days and actually got it working better than ever. Still....next one will be a mac!

I just purchased a new iPad and also got the Bluetooth keyboard. Both fit into the ZAGG folio (case). The case with the keyboard and iPad inside is only a little over 1/2 inch thick. Great for travel since the iPad has 4g as well.

Default Just bought new PC

I just bought a new Lenovo desktop PC, couldn't stand the thought of trying to relearn another system after all these years. I bought my wife a MacBook Pro laptop about a year ago, and she still doesn't know how to work the damn thing. I get frustrated every time I get on it to try to help her. They're not as intuitive as Mac users lead you to believe.

Admittedly, she just hasn't invested the time and energy to learn it, but I guess I'm lazy, so I went the PC route. Love my IPods and IPhone, but happy to keep it simple for myself with the desktop PC. I've used an IPad and thought it was pretty cool, but I hated the input and doubt I'd be happy with the optional keyboard. My lifestyle doesn't require me to carry a computer around, so don't see the need for IPad.
