Default Problem logging in to one site using Microsoft Edge

The Treasury Direct Website made some changes and I find that I can no longer log into it using Microsoft Edge from my laptop. As far as I know I reset/cleared all the browsing data (cookies, cache etc) without correcting the issue.

I can still log in using Chrome, so this is more of a nuisance than a major problem. Does anybody know if there is a simple solution to this?

I don't have an account, but I just went to the Treasury Direct login website from MS Edge with no problem. I use Windows 11.

I use Edge on a Surface Pro 6 and have found, over time, that I must use Chrome for logging in to some sites. Problem first occurred logging into a bank site but has occurred on a few other sites, too.

If you have an older version of Windows, you may want to ask them if they are blocking your version for security.

The only other time this happened to me was a few years ago on the Ford Payment Site (with a different laptop).

Clear the browser cache. Just like rebooting, that clears a multitude of problems.

Here's the link for how to do it: View and delete browser history in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support

Try opening Edge in private mode.
Sometimes browser config, extensions, etc will interfere with loading some sites. TD is a picky site.

This problem, and most others are very easily solved: Easy, reliable, and permanent Fix!

I found Edge had put a period at the end of my account number, which caused the problem until I removed the period

Chrome just pushed an important security update. FYI

If you are logging onto govt websites your certificates need to be in order.

Also, Hotmail is going to be the new Outlook by Dec. 2024. Everything will remain the same as long as you switch over when Microsoft sends that email to do so. If not you will loose everything in your Hotmail account.
