Default Suggest a speech recognition program

I'm trying Dragon Naturally Speaking 10, with limited success. Would like to know if you have found one you like. Thanks, Herb

I use dragon also. I have investigated others but the investigation was short lived once I saw the price. I will be following this thread just for suggestions. Thanks for posting the question.

I work in IT and support physicians who use Dragon NaturallySpeaking v9.51. There are about 40 who have tried it. About 20 use it daily and actually can't live without it. The others tried it, didn't like it, and quit using it.

It works very well for most of them "right out of the box." But like most things, you get out of it what you put into it. The more training you put into it, the better it works.

I haven't seen v10 yet, but in v9.5 you can choose Tools > Accuracy Center. It has many selections that will help.

You can run this to adjust your mike: Check your audio settings.
You can run this to help increase Dragon's accuracy: Perform general training.

Good luck!

I forgot to include some forums that have helpful Dragon users.
