Repeat --all apps are updated --I am pretty sure this is a beta and the designer of the app can update it as it gets new info -it's a good attempt --let's cut them some slack and see how it develops --doesn't cost anything --

I downloaded it already, just to take a look. It's their first attempt at an app.

Go get it [Apple App Store] and lets discuss it....
When I read that article in this morning's Daily Fun, guess who was the first person I thought of? I chuckled....

The tech group pretty much fell on their sword in that article, owning up to it being their first attempt at developing an app, it's been a learning experience for them, etc. Noble of them to offer that up - seriously. "Trial by fire" is always fun!

I guess I expected a little more from a multi-million dollar media machine like the Villages. If they just scanned TOTV and listened to their potential audience, they would developed a different app. All in my opinion.
Mike.

About apps I am a dummy, but is this one from the merchants at Spanish Springs rather than The Villages Communication Group?

Please' splain.

Apps are application Icons that work pretty much for Apple I Phones I Pads and maybe the Mac Book

I may soon stand corrected but they may not work on a Droid or PC?

I know what apps are. I have an Ipad...but do not know from whom this app came or was designed by or who paid for it. Was it the owners of The Villages through their media group or was it from the merchants?

Gracie... The app was developed by the Villages Media Group. Same folks that produce the Daily Sun and other Villages media.

I'll not be critical of them any longer for their app development. I'll just keep using the app Aroundme, another free app and it already lists LSL businesses, as well as businesses any other place I happen to travel...

Over and out.....

If you are critical...than it must be not great. You really understand that whole technology. Kind of surprised they dropped the ball, but...but..I have noticed that their computer programs weren't as sophisticated as what I would expect sometimes. Like when we asked to buy a house just like the model exactly the way it was outfitted, they couldn't bring it up on the computer but had to go through and painstakingly put in each feature of that home.

I shouldn't try to talk about stuff I have no knowledge of. I bow to your expertise Mike. And

I am too much of a cheerleader sometimes.
