It all depends what is wrong with your a/c of course.

A couple of weeks ago, my a/c stopped working. I asked my poker buddies if they knew of a good reliable repairman.

I was given the name of Village Heating & A/C in Lady Lake. They are not affiliated with The Villages. Phone number is 352-750-1434.

I called at 9:30 am and the tech was at the house within the hour. I was actually expecting him to say I needed a whole new unit. Instead, he took a quick look, told me I had a blown out capacitor, installed a new one, and 10 minutes later I was getting cool again. Total cost was $165. Much better than the thousands a new unit would cost.

I felt this guy was very honest and would recommend the company.

Default Air Techs

We have been using Munns for the last 8 years and have been more than satisfied.

Chuck Farrells Air Conditioning (352-516-0192) has been praised repeatedly by TOTV posters. I put them in my Top Ten Best Companies for expertise, prompt service, honesty and very fair prices.

You can also do a search in the contractors forum.

We have used Sun Cool (352-622-1067 )ever since we have been here.
We have a contract with them and they do maintenance once a year. Always have a nice cool house and even open door and have a nice cooled enclosed lanai.

Many to choose from. You would not regret calling Chuck...VERY HONEST, will not sell you something you do not need, like some of these other's mentioned. Do a search on air conditioning you'll find many HAPPY customers that have dealt with Chuck. You will not find any NEGATIVE FEEDBACK concerning Chuck's work or prices. Highly Recommended.

Another vote for Chuck Farrell. Our unit stopped working a month or so ago. Called Chuck based on recommendations here on TOTV. He responded promptly, replaced capacitors and A/C has worked fine since then. Total charge was $133.

Default Heating and A/C guys

Chuck Farrell put in a new furnace/air conditioner for us and he was great. Reasonable and competent.
I have had Stan Swander do the yearly checkup for several years and he is also great. He is a "young" Villager. Works alone so won't install A/C but it takes him seconds to figure out if anything is wrong and gets it done.
Think that both of these guys advertise in the Daily Sun.

I'm not sure if you ever resolved your A/C issue. Is a repair man necessary or do you just need some air filters and other hvac supplies? I've heard Chuck Farrell does good work, but it may be a easy fix depending on your problem. Hope it works out!

We called Chuck Farrell today and he sent an employee, Chris Patrick. Chris cleaned and serviced everything. My husband was very pleased.
