Any good repair poeple around? Had our Microwave blow(possibly just the circuit board) and called Desantos Appliance and set up an appointment, nobody showed!!!

I've found Fredericks Appliances to be both reliable and knowledgeable. So far, I've used them for two dishwashers, one fridge, one water heater and one garbage disposal. For each appointment, they showed up on time, fixed the problem promptly and were pretty fair in their prices. (Sorry, I don't have their number handy.)

They don't charge extra for coming after-hours or weekends (another plus when it's an emergency situation).

Scratch Frederick's from your list. I had an appointment with him today to come back and install a part on my dryer. Three hours later, he still had not shown up, so I called and nobody in the office could contact him via phone. I told them to forget it!!

I have found ABC ( Fredericks ) reliable for the last 9 years. They just left after repairing my refrig and come 24/7. Phone is 750-1782. The man was a little late but it is a very rainly Sunday.

I have not had good luck with ABC & Fredericks Appliance Repair & Service in Summerfield. I did check the BBB about them and they were rated an "F" by the Florida Better Business Bureau. Caveat emptor!

The circuit board has a 10 year warranty.( I think). Call the GE number in your appliance manual and they will send someone out. You will have to pay for the labor only.

I've found Phil of Discount Appliance Repair to be reliable. 352-874-1238. He's out of the state until Monday - so he can't help for this weekend. He comes to your home to check the item.
