Default Bathroom tile work

We need to replace existing tile in bathroom. Can anyone recommend a contractor who will give us a price to remove and replace the tile in shower only. Thanks

Default Floormaster

Floormaster installs flooring throughout TV so we thought we'd contact them to remove our new carpet and have tile installed. They sent out 2 gentleman that were prompt, clean, and did excellent work.

I've had these folks out twice and have suggested Ron (can't remember the other fellows name) to others. All comments about the 2 fellows work were positive and we were so pleased we had them come back and do the splashwall in the kitchen.

I used All in one Flooring, they advertise in the Sun. They removed the tile in the entire house, Kitchen, LR, DR, hall, Laundry, and both baths and replaced it all. Reasonable price, good job.

If you want to eliminate the middle man call james Focker 3522-288-8788.

Jim will come out and give you a "labor" estimate and a quantity/type of tile you need to buy. Then you can buy your tile any place you want....he installs your tile and you avoid any markup on the cost of tile. He does have a truck and may be able to pickup your tile that you choose but work that out between the both of you. James did a foyer entry way and underneath our kitchen bar top and we were very pleased.

HINT: If you want the same tile that was originally installed in your house, you should find the detailed install sheet that came with your new house. It will have the manfacturer, tile name, size, and probably local distributor all listed. WE went to Trinity Tile in Ocla and once we gave them our lot number they could pull up on their computers the specific tile name, dye color and grout used in our house and tried to match the best they could the dye lots using the info they had...sure made it easy!

Just wondering if you are replacing because you don't like the tile or if there is a problem? Previous posts have discussed some problems with the tile in the Roman showers. My recollection was that repair was covered by home warranty up to 10 years.

We used Schofield's in Ocala....they are fantastic. Family owned and operated. They did our tile and granite in both the kitchen and the bathrooms! They have their own showroom and shop...you can go hand pick exactly what you want!

They are the BEST and very reasonable priced...and unlike many Florida companies they work fast....they say they will be there by 10am....they will!!!

One would be back in 12/07; search leaky shower. Talks about a 5 year warranty. I do recall a discussion of Roman showers and 10 yr. but haven't found it again yet.

Another thread on this topic goes back to 11/08. Search shower failures and especially comments of fraurauch, Indy-guy, and bogie shooter.

Romans aren't mentioned specifically.
