Looked at Consumer Report online today and it said something like they will never recommend Whirlpool but that GE is high on their list. Armed with this info I updated my list and went looking at each vendor mentioned previously. I replaced an LG high-end Fridge and a run of the mill LG Microwave with Whirlpool models. Both of them have lasted and serviced us properly for about 4 years.

All of the models in the medium price range at each store are on backorder or delayed too long. So the hunt continues. I may break my lifelong habit of following Consumer Reports suggestions exactly. The Whirlpool Stoves at Appliance Direct were plentiful. Gonna sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

I'm hungry, we haven't eaten in a week. Livin off the fat of the land!

The service people I've dealt with said they see fewer problems with Whirlpool...

We bought ours on line Sears with service contract. We love them.

We replaced our major appliances 2 years ago. BB had very competitive prices and price match. Very good selection in store and most knowledgeable Appliance sales consultant (Albert). We purchased Tech Support to get better price on installation but have since renewed because of benefits. Well coordinated delivery, installation and removal. Couldn’t be more pleased with appliances(Samsung), installation, and service. Now BB is our go to place. We even went there to purchase and install garbage disposal. And other electronic products.

And the winner is. I can't believe it. Best Buys! I don't hold grudges. Fingers crossed. What could go wrong? It's only a Stove!

Best Buy was the only one that had stock for our dead washer. When our washer died we still had warranty, got new one for free. Supply chain is still broken

Samsung. Against the advice of Consumer Reports. CR loves GE but specifically warns against Whirlpool.

We've had great service from Samsung. The entire package was too good to pass up.

Chris Rodriguez did delivery and set up. He even washed the floor before installing new units.
(yes I gave him a decent tip for his excellent work and polite and respectful demeanor)
