Do You Know an Honest, Reliable Lawn Service?

Good luck in finding one. I would search on google for the owners name.
They are not regulated by DBPR. my neighbors 4 out of the last five they had were convicted felon's and one served repeated jail time over 20 year period.
Install some cameras also.

Do all retirees deserve "sophisticated crime deterrence equipment?" What about those workers who happen to have black marks on their record? Do they deserve to live in safety when they retire? Are you going to pay for it?
By the capitalization of DESERVE, it sounds like that entitlement attitude that plagues The Villages.
"Retirees DESERVE to live in safety because they grew OLD while they worked hard to provide goods or services to their communities. This is a RETIREMENT community (and a very large one) where residents pay EXTRA for the SAFETY of having like-minded neighbors around them AND it is IMPLIED that there will be enough Police and state-of-the-art crime prevention methods (such as stationary cameras and drone cameras) to INSURE that aforementioned SAFETY.
..........As to who pays for it ......we all do. For example, we go out to a restaurant that pays RENT to The Villages Management and Ownership. The residents then EXPECT that part of that money would be funneled back into Police patrols and state-of-the-art crime prevention equipment. I don't see any big mystery in "Who pays for it?"

Personally, I think that owners who cut their own lawns should get a discount on their activities fees. If only handicapped residents hired workers to cut their lawns, then the number of outside workers would drop and I BELIEVE that crime would drop, the number of speeding trucks with trailers would drop, and the main residential streets would NOT be littered with the workers parking their trucks practically in the middle of the streets.
........Basically, the fewer lawn maintenance people from outside The Villages, the better. I would also suggest that more rock yards be allowed (and ENCOURAGED) because that would decrease water usage and there would be less fertilizer usage, which would help keep the lakes cleaner instead of the yucky green color they currently have.

it’s seems that you in Chellybean see crime everywhere in the villages where most of us don’t . I wonder how you both functioned in the real world when everyone you ran into was a suspect that had to be checked and workers had to be filmed

I think you are in the wrong retirement community. There must be one somewhere with a moat…………..
