Default Cell Phone Service Providers

I need the assistance of this esteemed group.

My husband and I will soon be moving full time to our home in Buttonwood. The couple of times that we've been there since we closed on the house in the summer have provided proof enough that we'll need a new cell phone provider. EVERY time I tried to have a conversation inside the house on my Sprint phone, the call would drop. ALWAYS. I had to run to the lanai any time I needed to initiate or answer a call. So -- can any of my Buttonwood neighbors on here tell me if you have great cell phone reception, which phones and providers you know of to be good, and if you know of others that I need to avoid? Any feedback on T-mobile in particular?

Thanks!

Although I don't live in Buttonwood I have never had a problem with AT&T wireless anywhere in TV.

We bought a villa in Pennecamp and had terrible reception with AT&T. We were with AT&T for 12 years and finally gave up and went with Verizon. We even worked with the AT&T engineers and they finally said that their tower is about 5 miles away and could not help us. We also have friends in Largo and they have to make a mad dash to the lanai to talk on the cell phone. They have AT&T. My other friends have T-Mobile and they have no problems at our place. Hope this helps.

I have AT&T and my wife has Verizon. Both work fine. The AT&T seems to be just a little better most of the time. We both sometimes have problems missing the ring. Just goes directly to VM. Happens to us both even though we have different providers. I also believe the quality of the phone has a lot to do with the service. Not as much as the provider, but seems a good phone works much better.

We are coming over from Europe in Feb and March. Our cell phones over here are run by SIM card and are changeable. The last time we were in Florida we used 2 T Mobile cards. Is there anywhere in the Villages that I will be able to buy prepaid sim cards please?
