I wasn’t going to dignify it with a response

That’s reasonable to us. But all of them don’t abide by their own rules.

Just today, our latest company, who we just hired two weeks ago, told us they will be 4 hours late.

Like most of us, we have a schedule and can’t constantly change to accommodate a particular company. We understand that things happen, but these companies need to have contingency plans.

Anyone have a reliable home cleaner?
keep it simple. Ask for the earliest appt. Probably 8 am. Then no excuses are acceptable and it's time to move on, or not. Your money your call.

You do realize those "poor hardworking" persons wouldn't have ANTHING without that job. There are more expenses to running a business than just the wage...approximately 20-25% on top of their wage for things like payroll taxes and workers' compensation insurance. Then there's others insurances and taxes, marketing, etc. I could go on and on...a business is NOT a charity. Profit is the REASON one is in business for themselves. The great thing about capitalism is that the employee is FREE to do the same...if s/he is willing to assume the risk.

Find an independent person in your neighborhood that just does houses by themselves. No company. I have an awesome lady who comes every two weeks that does a tremendous job. She lives five minutes away by Golf Cart.
She even cleans up the mess of dishes I leave in the sink! Change my bedsheets. She's great.

I use King House Cleaning once in a while. Mostly for deep cleaning. I am very satified with her.

Is she licensed/insured should something happen while she's in your home working for you?

They didn't raise the price, but they cut back the crew from 3 people to 2. They stay an extra 15 minutes or so, but the net result is same price but less cleaning time.

Correct.

The cluelessness from people who have never run a business never ceases to amaze me. Why villainize the job creators? Feel free to start a business that makes no profit and see how long it lasts. SMH

Quit chastising all the unfortunate folks who CAN'T do the bending, lifting, stooping, etc. anymore. The doctor's offices are full of these folks who can't. They still all need/want clean houses, too! If you men make it sound like a luxury to have someone do it for us, there will be a whole lot of other like-minded "misers" who won't let us spend the money to get it done. I'm speaking primarily of the many "gents" who travelled through life never, or rarely, contributing to the upkeep of the household maintenance with their domestic partners. Those partners may have worked full/part-time and were the sole, or primary, errand driver, household scheduler, provision supplier, - i.e. "chief cook and bottle washer" for you and whoever else occupied your household. Even if not disabled in ANY way, those partners deserve a "RETIREMENT" from that work - just as you "menfolk" retired from what you did...

Maybe with your crew, but not mine. My previous 3 person crew varied quite a bit on each visit, from 40 minutes to over an hour. The latest 2 person crew stayed for an hour and 25 minutes - which is the same crew hour equivalent. Plus the fact that "cleaning time" does not always equate with efficacy.

As GJP explained in their announcement of going from 3 to 2, I noticed a lot less gossip/fraternizing with just two people...compared to having three.

I have checked behind the 2 person crew and haven't found anything, that wasn't properly cleaned the same as the 3 person crew.

if that’s the only exercise your getting I would suggest getting a gym membership ,as for me there’s nothing better then coming home and finding your home especially the bathroom cleaned while you were out ,I’ve had the same person for many years comes every 2 week and I never have to be there it’s worth every penny

I would argue not necessarily "tone deaf," but more like classless/crude.

Keep scrolling though, as he actually outdid himself this morning with the YouTube links.
