I am havng much difficulty wth LWV Landscapers in completing their work, 11 unresolved issues.

Anyone have any helpful ideas as to where to go or what to do ?

From personal experience Lisa and Tammy (LVW Landscape) will not respond after they have been paid. There has been numerous complaints filed at the Sumpter County Sheriff's Office (Seniors versus Crime). I was number 22 when I filed my complaint with them. LWV has not responded to any of the inquiries from the Sheriff's office and they have not been taken to court by the County Sheriff's office.

Their mode of work is to get 50% payment up front and the remainder the day the work is done. The problem appears the workers all leave for a break and never come back once Lisa has the check in hand. You can not trust these individuals (LWV)

Their landscape yard on 466 appears they have been out of business since last year. When did they do work for you?

The work was done on February 16,2009.

I am just ready to spit nails.... very upset with this whole matter.

From personal experience, I know of at least 4 customers of Lisa's who have been extremely happy with their work and the timeliness of it. I, too, have contracted with them to do my landscape work and due to the weather the past few weeks, we have had some delays. That is expected and each week, I am contacted by Lisa or Victoria about the delay and given the reasons and a new date. Actually, today I received a call at 8:30am telling me that due to the extreme weather last night, we will be delayed again a few more days. This doesn't bother me especially when I am being advised in advance. I have also been advised of what plants and trees they have already purchased so that I know they don't want to be sitting on them and would prefer to get the rest of their money as soon as possible.

Can you please be more specific as to what kind of issues you had with their work? Searay, you posted that same comment back in January and I spoke to Lisa about it and she gave me a satisfactory explanation about the whole episode. I believe her and I've seen her work. It is excellent.

I'm always a little suspicious when posters who give negative comments about contractors are new posters as they could also be competitive companies. Please be specific about your complaints. Thanks in advance.

We've been very satisfied with LWF and recommend them. As I've said before, they've done everything promised and more. The work they do is excellent and well priced, usually significantly.

As for the comments about their yard location on 466, I'd think most would agree that the road construction immediatley out front caused them to close that location.

How's this for specific ?

When I called the Crimes Against Seniors number this afternoon at 1:23 pm, the person answering the phone said, yes, they have had multiple and numerous complaints against LWV Landscapers. She advised me to stop by their office tomorrow and fill out a complaint against them, but, to this point, they have barely managed to stay one step ahead of law enforcement and not to get my hopes up.

I hope to change that.

Are 22 people with complaints specific enough for you ?

How can you, in all good conscience and without a dog in the fight, dare to support this renegade outfit who are ripping off your neighbors and friends here in the Villages ?

Kathie, I am not new to the Villages. Although I do not post, I am a daily visitor to this site, In fact I own two homes, One in Mallory and one in Hemingway. If you doubt my comments, please call Seniors vs. Crime and follow-up yourself. The cost of my landscape job exceeded over $10,000.00 two years ago and starting one month after Lisa completed the job we were replacing her bushes. Even some of the palms plants/trees were replaced.

Yes, I did post once previously regarding LWV and will continue to warn other individuals of their work. With 22 complaints from other individuals living in the Villages there is obviously problems with this company.

Specifically, the plants and trees that we picked out at LWV yard on 466 the day before installation were not the ones that arrived at the day of installation. They had been sold and switched with other inferior quality and size plants. No explanation given...not even a sorry! Matting that was to be spread under the mulch and rock was not put down and thus no weed-block. Irrigation pipes were not capped off and sprinkler heads were broken off by their digging and planting. We could not get them to come back and fix. There were other problems, but I think you get the message here....

Three of my neighbors also contracted with them and had them plant on our street and cul-de-sac, their were also problems with each of their jobs. Again no follow-up and not willing to come back to fix the problems. In each case they were paid in full. None of these three neighbors followed up with Seniors Vs. Crime..So the fact is there are many more individuals out there that are not happy with this company than is logged in at Seniors.

When you mentioned this to Lisa, did you really expect her not to defend herself. Of course she is going to talk favorable of her work. These comments are my own personal experiences with her, however with 22 other complaints filed there still appears to be a problem with her work. Call Seniors vs Crime yourself and you will see I am not making this up. Buyer be aware.

We hired LWV after calling the Sheriff's office. Our landscaping is finished and we are very happy with the outcome. We called them back to fix something and they came the following day. All work including matting finished according to contract.

I am not familiar with Florida law, however, in NY if you are that unhappy you take the company to small claims court.

This from my husband, "How do you pay in full for a service without checking the work that has been done"? No matting, switched trees, broken sprinkle heads?
