Probably a lot of factors come into play....but, we just had laminate put down in our front bedroom (office). It seemed to be a decent quality. Approx $6/sq ft installed for 230sq ft .... take up old carpet, install floor, put in quarter round molding throughout. I imagine if you have a larger project the cost per sq ft could be reduced (or negotiated). We also went with a large local flooring specialty company.

All in all, we're very pleased with the product and quality of workmanship. Soooo much better than carpet in the office.

Less than $6 (closer to $5.50) for Laminate, install, 1/4 round, take up and dispose of carpet and tacking strip, some floor leveling, etc. - nice selection at FloorMasters on rt 301 between rt 466 and Wildwood.

Thanks. I'm thinking of going with Floormasters. They seem very good to work with.

Tom.... that's who I used, too. Lots of inventory and good installers. They also did a tile project for me that turned out beautiful. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Thanks for your help. I'm finding there are very good companies and individuals available for all sorts of services but also that prices vary widely and there a some that should be avoided too. It really helps to be able to consult the experience of others.
