Default Custom Picture Framing

Looking for a place to get some pictures framed. They are unusual sizes so they must be matted. I went to Michaels but to me they are way too expensive for me.

That is always the problem. The picture or print is usually cheap compared to the cost of framing. I'd like to know of a good framer in the area also.

You might compare prices with JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby in Ocala. I doubt you will find it any less expensive.

There is an art dealer in The Markets of Marion that does custom framing. Did a good job for me at half of Michaels price.

If you are the least bit handy and I do mean limited skills, you can frame them yourself for much less. Go to customframesolutions.com. You can order from a huge selection of frames for any size that you need. You can also order mats, foam board, plexiglass that looks as good as glass and all the hanging and fittings needed to do the framing. They will put the frames together for you and the directions for matting and putting the picture into the frame and securing it are VERY easy. I'm not handy and an artistic know nothing, but I found it very easy to do. If you want glass instead of plexiglass, go to Ace Hardware and get the glass cut to size. The plexiglass looks just like glass and is much lighter to hang.

A flea and farmers market on 441 about 7 or 8 miles north of The Villages. Left side of road.
Art dealer is in back.

Thanks for everyone's help. I found a custom frame business at the corner of 466 and 441. Its in what looks to be an old house. They were vey helpful and very reasonably priced.

Penguin:

Sounds like you found my favorite place. They've done virtually everything I've had framed here, all to my great satisfaction.

Cindy's Place
114 N. Highway 27/441
Lady Lake
259-1109
Southwest corner of CR-466 and US-27/441

I call them reasonable, too!
