Has anyone else found that if you sign a 2 year contract with Directv, then they no longer offer you credits when your old credits expire?

for those that are direct tv subscribers, Tuesday when we had the all day long rain and socked in cloud cover all day what was your reception experience?

Direct TV is great as long as it's not raining. Switched from Comcast due to the sports available only on Direct TV, but still hate how frequently service is interrupted by rain.

We switched from Comcast to Directv. Comcast is very reliable but when the signal does go out, it's for hours or even days. Customer service is the worst I've seen. I kept their internet service because there really isn't a good alternative. Once they cut my internet cable and it took 5 days to fix.

Directv SD rarely goes out for more than a few minutes at a time. HD might go out for 15 minutes or so in a very heavy storm. I did not notice an outage on Tuesday when it rained all day. But then I have Genie and one of their DVRs which lets me program 7 shows at once and save 300 hours of HD. I rarely watch live so I can skip commercials. Directv customer service is great. I pay about $100 per month with no premium channels. Directv has free premium trials every couple of months so I can catch up on new movies.

I have used Dish and DirecTv. We much preferred Dish: CS, PVR, and price. We have since cut the cable altogether and are very happy without the bills!
