Default Does anyone know this Landscaper

We called the landscaper that we thought was recommended from Nextdoor Village of Duval. Evidently we called the wrong number. Whatever happened it’s not who we thought. The name is better lawns and landscapes. I can’t find anything except for an ad in the paper about this company. We are so far not happy but have done our work in the past and I’m not sure about prices. Does $4200 seem about right for the backyard only including one garden about 20 ft.² the other two are about 15 ft.² another one that is almost 20 ft.² putting rock. That does include the price of the rock and we did not get an expensive rock. He also sent us an invoice by email that just quoted the price no details. I would love to hear that this guy is on the up and up but I have my doubts.

You need to include more details when asking if $4,200 is a lot. Are you having stack walls, what type of plants/trees/bushes? Are they adding or modifying the irrigation, etc?

I would "NOT" recommend Service Smart for anything having to do with landscaping or lawn service. And again DO NOT PAY UPFRONT.

It is only to rake up the mulch in the Gardens and put down rock. The garden has been there for 10 years. No planting know why

Run, don't walk away, and notify Seniors vs Crime.

I would suggest that you get estimates from at least three companies before deciding what to do. There are several well known companies in TV. Village Palms lives here and does excellent work. There is a nursery out on 301 who does good work here in TV, cannot remember the name.

NEVER give money before the job. NEVER EVER.

If he is harassing you go to the authorities ASAP--sounds like a scam artist-legit contractors--just give an estimate and wait to see if you want them to do the job

also--how is he harassing you

Exclamation Suggest

CALL SENIORS vs CRIME TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY RECORD OF THE COMPANY. CHECK WITH TALK OF THE VILLAGES INPUT AND GET AT LEAST 3 ESTIMATES. AND DON'T USE SERVICE SMART.

It is way too much. Not sure I'm clear on why he is harassing you, did he already do the work and is now trying to get paid? If you've only been given an estimate then just tell him you've decided to use someone else so he stops bothering you. Whoever you end up choosing...don't pay them until the job is completed!

Why is he "harassing" you?

Did he do the work and you're now thinking the previously agreed price...is too much? If that's the case, then...

Or is it that you haven't agreed to use him, after he's only provided an estimate...and he's mad about it?

More details please.
