Default Enclosing Lanai

Has anyone had experience with Fairbanks Construction of Ocala. I would love to hear your review of them and their work.

After observing a couple of painful experiences with lanai enclosures, my suggestion would be to have a qualified AC person do the appropriate heat load calculations BEFORE you contract for the enclosure so that you are 100% sure what you will be needing for climate control.

thanks for your suggestions. We are not putting heat or air - just windows.

That's what a friend intended, but the heat load on their south facing lanai was huge, and they could not get by with no air. That was the purpose of my post...to be sure about what you are facing as far as heat is concerned.

Default Fairbanks

A Fairbanks sales guy came out and gave us a quote on enclosing a small lanai. We both thought the glass product he was pitching was very good. However, the quote was in the stratosphere!!

If you condition the air in your lanai you should get the ceiling above it insulated.
