Has anyone had experience with BrowardFactory Service, a company that provides appliance service (including AC) for an annual fee?

I have had no personal experience with them. I did check them out at the BBB and found lots of complaints and only a "C" rating so I went somewhere else. I would suggest you contact The Villages Warranty Department and they can tell you which contractor originally put your A/C into your home when it was built. This may be a place to start to find a good, annual service firm.

I also went on the BBB site to see what kind of complaints they had. The one with the C rating and numerous complaints was a franchise out of Fort Lauderdale not the one in our area. The one in our area has no information or rating with the BBB. I also would like to know if anyone has had any business dealings with them as my current contract with Republic is due to expire July 31 and I am looking to get a contract with them as they are substantially cheaper with no deductible. We have had occasion to use the Republic policy which was purchased with our house on two occasions. On both occasions we were simply charged the $75 deductible and were very satisfied with the results.

I have Broward. I went on the recommendation of a neighbor who has had nothing but great service. On the other hand, they've been out 4 times to fix the piece of *&^&*^@
GE refrigerator that was put in by TV when we built the house. Anyway, they're supposedly coming out tomorrows for the final part. One of the excuses is that the cheap GE fridges put in by TV are so crappy the parts are hard to come by. I'll keep you posted.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and signed up with Broward. That part was easy. As with any insurance I hope I never have to find out if they are good or bad. Keep us informed on your refrigerator.

We've contracted with them for nearly ten years now and not had a problem. They respond quickly and get the job done. Came out several times to work on our air conditioner and finally replaced it with no problem. I'd recommend them to anyone.
