I had American Heating come to the house today to check over my furnace and a/c. Sort of a doctor's call. No problems. The special was $34.95 for both units. When the technician was here he said everything was running good and he found no problem except when he opened the heating flume that is in the garage (the one that is sealed with aluminum tape) he said most technicians don't look inside but there company does. He said he found the coils to be rusty and to replace them it would cost $1645.00. Did anyone ever hear of this??? I am wondering why Village Heating (who I had for the past 2 years) never looked in there.

Does anyone think this is a scam? or should I look into it further.
