Default water problem need help

I had water seep up through the grout in the tiles of the bathroom in two places. I had Scott plumbing come out and they said the toilet seal had been broken and that was the problem. It was not..they came out again and did three water pressure checks and it was fine. They said to call again when it happens.

Has anyone else have this occur and what was causing it.

The water pipes are under the concrete. How long did they leave the pressure tester on? IMHO I think it should be 24hrs with no use of water. You could could shut your main off before you go to bed. Do not flush toilet during the night. In the AM turn on the water and go to that bathroom sink and run the cold water and hot water seperately. If you have "air" in the line you may have a leak under the concrete.
What about the "wax ring" between toilet base and the floor flange?
Another possible cause is "rain water" seeping in under the concrete. Do you have gutters to get the water away from the foundation?

Is the water seepage near the toilet? Even if the plumber replaced the old toilet wax ring, sometimes one wax ring doesn't work. If the leak is within a few inches of the toilet, the first thing I would do is remove the toilet, remove the old wax ring, clean every speck of wax from the toilet flange and toilet bottom, then replace the old wax ring with 2 new wax rings, one on top of the other. Then carefully reinstall the toilet. An alternative is to buy a jumbo wax ring that has 50% more wax than a standard seal. Either way the cost would be less than $10.00. I had a leak near the toilet in my NY home and doubling the wax seal fixed the problem. If the leak is more than a foot from the toilet, it's probably something other than the wax ring. Good luck.

I'm wondering if you ever figured out what the problem was? My mother has a leak around her toilet, and we've got to get somebody over there to take a look at it. I wonder if her wax ring is the culprit, or if it could be something else? It's a recent development- no leak even just a few weeks ago.
