Default Corvette repair

The windows on my 1985 Corvette have always worked very slowly, and now the passenger side window stopped working completely. Is there a mechanic / repair shop that services older Corvettes near the Villages? Any help is appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

We have an '86 'vette with the same slow window problem. Try a Google and YouTube search, as i recall there were a few "solutions", as for a shop, I have been doing the work on ours but will be looking for one myself.

AccuTech Automotive on 301 can handle any year Corvette (or car).

Bobby is a master technician. I have had my 98 and my 61 both in for him to work on.

352-748-1500....his wife Freda will answer the phone.

Really! I called just yesterday and was told they have worked on Corvettes much older than a 1985. I have an appointment next week to have both windows repaired. I found the entire window assembly on the internet, motor included, priced at $219.00. I could probably do the job myself, but at this point in my life I just don't want to. Further, the estimated time for a good mechanic to do one window is 1 hour, but I think that is low. I would assume 2 hours per window and $219.00 per window for parts, price should be under $1,000.00. If you like I can get back to you and let you know how this goes. BTW, I also am from Pa., Bucks County.

Thank you for the info (probably 3 years ago), when I called I was having a problem with a ground connection, and I am now guessing they just were not interested in trouble shooting. I agree 1 hour sounds tight to me also.

Hi, I am having the same issue with the passenger window on my 2000 Firebird. I had a great local mechanic in Central Illinois and I am looking for one here in The Villages area.

Take it to a GM dealer service dept. You'll find that they will fix any Vette ever made when no one else will. I've had a few including a 03 ZO6 loaded and tricked out right now. And the little niggy things that crap out can easily be repaired by a GM dealer.

Thank you for the information! I took my 2000 to George Nahas for a driver's side window switch repair and was pleased with them, but I also have a '95 that I usually wait for my son to work on for me when he comes to visit. I had a great Corvette mechanic in Texas and was hoping to find one in/near the Villages that I could trust.
