Default Home Improvements

We have some home projects like new lanai sliding door, update bathroom, new glass windows for the lanai and pushing out a wall for more living space.

Would like to work with one company for all projects.

Going to contact Doc's ( I know they will be expensive but they do a good job in a timely manner).

Probably contact RoMac. Anybody dealt with them? Any others?

Thanks

Be sure to get approval from Architect Review Committee before pushing out that wall.

Demetri Construction is a family-owned construction company here in the area for over 20 years. They are of high integrity with a great reputation in our area. They can handle everything on your list that would save a lot of brain damage for the project you are speaking about.

Along with ARC review, there will be several permits required, make sure whomever you hire is licensed, and NO money up front. For a large project like this there should be a payment schedule setup, and a hold back of say 20% or more until all inspections are completed. From what I have seen recently you may be looking at close to $100k for this work. Make sure the 811 is called before any foundation work is started, irrigation lines will need to be moved, and possibly water supply and drainage lines. Pushing out the wall MAY require a lot of roofing work, look at your deed restrictions, also get a copy of your plat (plot) plan from the count building department to see where all setbacks and other restrictions are.
ARC will require detailed engineering drawings for final review and approval.
IMHO, you might want to do some preliminary work to see if your plans are feasible.

In 2018 I contracted with Roberto’s Flooring to remove some faux columns/bump-outs, replace ceramic tile flooring throughout the house with luxury vinyl flooring, new kitchen cabinets, new granite countertops in kitchen and bathrooms, and paint all rooms including the garage floor. I hired Custom Glass to replace my exterior lanai sliding doors. They also managed the plumbing and electrical work.
I have the Lantana floor plan.
