Default Service Smart REFUND is possible

Several of you have been wondering how to get your money back from Service Smart if you paid upfront for your yearly service (like me! NEVER again!)

Well, here's what I did today and it worked for me.

I drove to the Service Smart office in Ocala, located at 530 NW 1st Ave. The website for Service Smart still shows their old address on Cherry Road. Don't go there. You can call ahead for directions. Service Smart's phone number is 352. 622. 1778. Or you can type it into Google Maps.

I went inside and asked to speak to a supervisor. No supervisor was on site. I then asked to speak to the office manager. She was there, but told me she had no power to refund my money. I explained that I was not leaving until I had my refund in hand. I waited patiently and quietly for at least 30 minutes and then I decided I was tired of waiting. I then played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne on my phone loud enough to let them know I was still waiting for some help. I am not sure if it was my choice of music or the volume of the song, but three minutes after Crazy Train started to play again, my refund check was issued!!

I am hoping this works for any and all of you that try it. If you'd like a nice selection of songs to use while you are waiting, PM, I'd be glad to help out.

I'm trying another route. Filed a complaint with BBB and Seniors vs Crime after numerous promises that a supervisor and owner Kevin Smith would call me back.

I was promised a refund when I sold my house, I never got it, there was only a month left on the contract so I let it go, but have never referred them again. I hope senior vs crime does something to help remedy there business practices. IMO terrible company, customer service, they will be out of business soon, within the next 1-3 years. All the people I know that have there service are waiting for year contract to run out and dropping them. I agree, even though when your sign up and pay ahead for a reduced rate, your will never get your money without alot of time and anguish. Good luck and hope something is done about the company and owner.

Why did you get a refund...because you paid the whole thing for the year and got a discount? Does it say that in any paperwork you had?

I got a refund based on the days of service left in my contract that I had already pre-paid and due to their complete lack of service and zero follow through with my lawn care and pest control services I told them I am not paying for services not rendered!

We're moving from a home with lots of hedges, bushes, large lawn, etc to home with minimal lawn. No refund, no adjustment. The only service that has been consistent has been the weekly lawn mowing. Trimming? Clean up? Lawn service? Only when you remind them and then hope for the best. $190 a month. It should be A+ service....

I would not be surprised to see them go out of business and return with a new name and screw the unsuspecting again. Not good people!!!

I have been promised a refund and that they would correct issues for problems with their service. Still waiting after a month. It should be noted the they have a D- rating with the BBB
