Default Homeowners Insurance

After having the wind mitigation check on my home. Our insurance did not go down at all. We have American Traditions. Can anyone tell me if they have run into the same problem. I heard a lot of neighbors say there insurance went down after having the inspection. Whats up with American Traditions? :dontknow:

Some insurance companies have already figured new construction and wind mitigation into their initial rates....that is most likely why your rates did not decrease. Suggest you call the company or simply ask your local agent!!

I would doubt they donot consider or simply ignore wind mitigation. If they did I would check with the Florida State office that handes Insurance regulatory issues.

784caroline is correct. I was told that if your home is built after 2002, most companies have been giving the loss mitigation credits all along. Agree, check with your insurance agent.
