Gracie - I have to fess up. My theory is apparently a bust. Near the end of this thread you'll see a post with a link that notes calcium in ground water is not a cause of kidney stones.

If you are happy with the Village water out of the tap why would you get a filter or softener system! On the other hand we really like our Nova filter system and it makes a big difference!!!
