Default Irrigation pink tubing cut

My wife was moving plants and apparently hit the pink water irrigation line with the shovel and now it has a large split in it causing a major water leak.
I am not sure how much dirt got into the tubing so I am in need of a professional to repair it. Anyone have any suggestions. I thought about cutting it and adding a new section myself but as I said not sure how much dirt got into the line and where it ended up...hopefully not in the solenoids.

You also can repair using a slip joint.

Ask at Ace Hardware.

Google pvcslipjoint to see how it works.

You could look at this as two separate problems. The first is the broken pipe. I would fix it myself. The second is dirt might clog up the sprinkler heads. Turn on and test. Then if you need help get it.
