Default Kitchen remodel

We just gutted our kitchen and I need to say how exceedingly pleased I was with our 3 contractors. Tim Field (aka Tim the Cabinet Man) from Creative Designs in Kitchens and Baths did the cabinets and coordinated all the schedules. Duncan Tile and Stone, a small family owned yard in Tavares (they're often at vendor night at SS), did the granite countertops, and Kiley and Sons did the plumbing. If anyone is thinking of having work done I highly recommend all 3. PM me if you need more information.

Hm-m-m. Post pictures. Guess that means I'd finally need to figure out how to do that. Tell you what, Gracie. How about we do an in-person viewing instead? That way I would also get to pick your decorating brain about the rest of our place (did I mention that despite all the HGTV I watch, my decorating brain is nonexistent?)

Looks like it was just under $60/sf and that included upgraded granite, standard edge, installation, tax -- in short, everything. I have a small kitchen and he had a small slab of some high priced stuff I really liked that he gave me a nice discount on. Originally I had started working with Lowes, but they wanted to be paid in full before they would make a template. I wasn't about to do that! In the end, Duncan's upgrade was a little less than Lowes would have been for a standard granite.
