I need recommendations to help correct laminate floor installed by
Mike Wilson at Wilson Flooring. I asked about warranty before job May24,2015), was assured he would stand behind it. He didn't do several things agreed upon. House has had air and heat, rented this month, and renter tripped on improperly installed laminate at threshold. He didn't return calls, until I mentioned Seniors vs. Crime, then got a very angry call back. He made an appt. for Sat. 10am, which he didn't call to cancel, didn't show up. Should I call senors vs. crime first, or another company to repair problems? Suggestions? |

I checked (wish I had BEFORE the job was done) with BBB, and he is not listed with them.
I think he got angry because his wife is a realtor with Remax(Hope Wilson) and he tried to pressure me into listing with her, which I had committed to another realtor, but that list is expired now and I'm renting. Sounds like I need to call the Seniors vs. Crime. |

I would give this company one more chance to make "things" right. I would do it in a "nice" certified letter this time. Just my thoughts.

Zack installed my laminate and did a great job. Not sure if he does repairs but you could call and ask. 352-303-3859

I called three times and left a message, very polite and wanted to work it out.
He didn't return call until I mentioned I may need to post on here, and he was very angry. Then he called, made an appt. to come for 10am two wks. ago on Sat. morning, never showed up, never called.........I need to get some who can fix his mistakes. |

You have been more than patient with him and gave him a chance to correct the problems. It's pretty obvious he doesn't intend to respond.
Now, you need to become more active and get the wheels rolling. File a claim with Seniors vs. Crime. Take plenty of pictures. If you paid with a credit card you should file a dispute with them. They will ask for a reason(s) for the dispute. Based on your post, sounds like you have more than enough ammunition, plus the pictures will help. Do you have a written contract? You'll need to get the floor fixed so no one trips and hurts themselves, you don't need the problems that can follow. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress. |
