Bushes are on the outside of Lanai and usually have nothing to do with awnings??? Are you west facing? We thought about an awning for years until we glassed in the lanai and that cut the heat right away.

We're putting in privacy shades, and we want the awning for additional privacy and shad, our lanai is already enclosed. with stacked vinyl, don't use the lanai much

for awnings and shades call Lonnie @ Cool Breeze 888-896-8935. He's done both for us . family owned No Middle man or salemans cut . I had all the awning people come out and give me prices .Lonnie beat them all .some were double plus $300 on the same 20 x 10 power awning.
