Looking for someone to put a drain in our lanai. Those little drains under the screens don't drain. I guess we need a concrete guy. Any suggestions?

Make sure your saw-cracks are clean.

The white or brown aluminum channel screwed to the concrete floor is blocking the waters exit. Doesn't seem like it would, but it does.

Next time it rains, take note of the deepest part. After it dries out again, loosen the 3-4 screws next to that deepest part a couple of turns. Beneath the channel put something thin that won't rot or rust like a nickel or whatever you have around to hold the channel off the concrete a little bit.

Re-tighten the screws. Bugs still cannot get in and it takes maybe 5-10 minutes and costs a nickel.

I slid black zip ties under the channel. After tightening the screws, I cut off the excess from the zip ties.

We had BJ's cap-Screen drains installed, these work very well if you need to power wash your lanai or bird cage, as these can be opened to provide lots of drainage.

We also had 2 Cap-Drain's installed three years ago (at $35 a piece). Although they do a decent job of allowing excess water to flow out of the lanai during pressure washing, during a regular rain, I notice little difference than before having them installed.

The floor drain system installed when we had our pool built does a much better job.

That being said, its a lanai (not an enclosed space) so any water that gathers during a rain usually doesn't last too long.

Experiment with the draining using your garden hose.

Good ideas, all. Will give them a try. Just have a large algae filled puddle in the corner after each rainfall. I't's gotta go.....those are my marching orders........

Well, That was the trick. Did two on one side of the corner and two on the other. Problem is it cost me .20! THANKS
