Thumbs up Lawn and Pest Care

We bought a pre-owned home back in March 2014 after visiting here for the first time. The previous owners said they were using Bates Exterminating for their lawn and pest care needs so we continued with them. If you signed a contract there is a clause that your agreement automatically renews for another 12 consecutive months unless written notice of cancellation is received at their headquarters via Certified Mail Return Receipt 60 days prior to its anniversary date. Really?

So now it is January 2016 and time to send the cancellation to Bates because we feel that we never see them and we have grubs or fungus or something munching brown patches on the lawn. Unacceptable.

We called Massey and a very knowledgeable, professional and non-pressure sales person named Jim Hall (352-205-9083) was at our kitchen table 24 hours later. We interviewed HIM about the company, their policies and procedures, their billing, how they handle situations and at the end of it all we felt most comfortable that they will be able to provide us with reliable, quality care. We highly recommend Jim for your lawn and pest care needs.

Again you don't need any long term contracts- We had Massey and several of our neighbors did-no one in our area still uses them-great sales people-our lawns are much better with Zozia green or Deans

They say we will all move three times in TV. I wonder how many times people change Lawn Care and Pest control companies per home.

I didn't move here to move again 1) because I am comfortable where I am
2) as a retiree I have better uses for my savings 3) the lawn isn't always greener on the other side which brings me to the main topic. I have been with Massey for the 9 years that I have lived here and they have performed as promised with lawn, pest control termite control

I use Massey for the last four years. If I feel there is a problem I call then and they quickly fix the problem.

They have recently started a mowing program. We have had them for 4 yrs for other lawn care & will try them out for mowing now. Obviously can't give opinion on that yet.
