Ours was done shortly after we moved into our newly built home. Floor was clean and the garage was empty. What people call epoxy is sort of. Clear epoxy yellows with age. The clear top coat is poly something or other. Our coating is going on 12 years old. I do not take any care of it and it is fine. If, you spill oil on it, it is of course slippery till you clean it up. The product was Sherwin Williams. Due to costs and regulations may or may not be the same product available today.
