Use a concrete stain instead. Epoxy finishes may look pretty, but they do not hold up.

I used used something called a densifier , then a penetrating sealer, not slick and nothing sticks to it , water and oil bead up on it, Siloxa-Tek, if I remember right I was able to get solvent based products at that time

I actually did my own in 2013, used Sherwin Williams (H&C xylene based stain) with shark grip added. This works very well except for one problem; this product does not stand up well to some automotive fluids. had the same products on the driveway for over 12 years and it was great until I spilled red paint and could not clean it up. My point consider the future use and possible spills and stains and get a finish you can live with.
Whatever you do make sure the final finish is NOT slippery when wet.

Just to Clarify, the finish’s put on by contractors looks slick but I doubt they would install a physically slick product because it would be a liability? The coatings I have had done look slick but are not when made wet or when washed and cleaned.

There have been reports on this site about slippery finishes, and associated warnings about slippery finishes. So, I was just putting this out there as a cautionary warning. Shark grip or equal is your friend and works great, I have this on the new driveway coating, the garage, and the birdcage.

We're in the process of building now and are going to use Swisstrax | Premium Interlocking Garage Floor Tiles

We have it at our current house and it is great.

We found best low maintenance non slippery no fuss and less expensive solution was garage floor mat that covers the entire area under the cars (could have made entire wall to wall) roll out rubber mat. No worries slipping, stains, hot tires, spills, hot AC drips, weather etc. we chose made in America mat but others available. Bonus roll up and take with you if move and no moving cabinets and putting belongings outside during process. Never have epoxy, stained, or painted floor again.

Would this not be a trip hazard? Maybe not the best idea for seniors? Is this the same mat that the golf cart stores sell for battery leakage?

Mixing sand with the epoxy is the cheapest way to get it done and it works fine, looks good too. Make sure you put plenty of sand in.

Get what you pay for! Had both, epoxy works better for me!
