Default MVP Garage Door Opener -solid green light

My MVP double car garage door opener does nothing when I press the wall button or try the remote. I now need to open the door manually...which at times is easier said than done. I checked the service book and it says to look at the diagonsis light on the rear of the main unit. I see a solid green light and according to the book, it indicates a "short". Anyone have this problem?

Any recommendations for a good garage door mechanic??

you may have it in "lock" mode, or somehow the code got changed, either of which you can fix yourself.

it can also be stripped nylon teeth gears or a broken chain, likely which you can't fix and it'll be $100+ for the repair call and fix.

there's another thread on this, best wishes

we had the same problem it was the mvp capasitor, Ro mac charged us $17.00 plus service charge of $49.95., well worth the cost for repair.
