One thing I noticed about most new homes is they do not put in overhead can lights in any rooms for lighting. We usually add those at some point. No worries about leaks.

The Solar Guys have installed Solatubes in both of our houses here in the Villages. From a customer satisfaction perspective, I give them a solid 10 out of 10. They don't really need to come to your home to give you a new installation quote...they'll do that over the phone. The tubes really do enhance the natural light, at least in our installations. And yes, the very soft night light feature is a bonus. We've never had a Solatube leak, even in torrential downpours. Their installers are professional, and are very good at what they do. So, yeah...I can give them my highest recommendation without reservation.

I have owned 5 new homes and one preowned home in the villages , I have installed the tubes in all of them, I’ve never had a problem , and for those who think just hitting a light switch is the same thing ,you are so very wrong .Solar Guys Rock

The house I bought doesn't get a lot of natural sunlight so I had solar guys come out and install a solar tube. They did a great job and were in and out quickly. It helped quite a bit. I eventually want four more but will have to wait because of the cost.

The one I got has a remote that closes a damper to kind of "shut it off". I'd probably skip that on the next ones as I've never used it.

Default Solar tube install

We just had the Solar Guys install another tube in our home yesterday....no one had to come out to do an estimate.....we called, got the price, set up the appointment and install done within 7 days. Easy peasy.

We have used Solar Tube since about 1999 and have two units installed. They have been great to work with and are efficient and clean in doing their work. I would inquire of them to see if they charge for coming to your house is credited to the purchase, if you make one. We use them to replace our roof in 2019 and they replaced both of our Solar Tubes with upgrades designs. I highly recommend them.

The Solar Guys did three tubes for us. Love the tubes with the nite lite. The Villages is so spread out that they may need to recoup expenses. They are great to work with. BTW our battery operated nite lites are still working after 3-4 years. We expected 1.5 to 2 years before light/battery replacement.

We moved to TV 4 years ago and had the Solar Guys put 2 solar tubes in our house — one in a spot where there was a light and that solar tube has a light inside that we can use as night. They did a fantastic job.

We think solar tubes are great, free sunlight in the home without burning electricity is a wonderful idea. My wife’s indoor plants thrive under them. Just don’t put them in a bedroom unless you want to be woken up at sunrise or in a closet because the sun will bleach out the color of your clothes.
