Default Need outdoor Lamp Post cap

Please help. Can someone please tell me where I can buy just the top of the outside white lamp post lights. Mine blew away and all I can find to buy is the entire lamp post light to buy. I don’t want that. I just want the top “hat” part of the lamp post. TIA

You must buy the whole light. They are not sold in pieces.

auggghhh!!! This is just as bad as charging .60 at Cane Gardens for crispy bacon. The “hat” should be like $5.00 - the whole lamp is, at a minimum, $29.00 from what i’m seeing.

Thanks, dsbouley for the quick response!

If you know the manufacturer of the light you might be able to go to their website to see if they sell replacement parts. In the end, you will probably better off and dollars ahead by buying a new light!

If you don’t mind some work:

Go to the store and find the exact same post. Get the manufacturer information off the package, no need to write it down, take a picture of the package. Go home and find their website. Get the customer service number and tell them you would like to buy the cap because your cap flew away. They will probably send you one free or charge you $2. I’m sure they will send you one at no charge, cheap price for goodwill.

You can also call home warranty and they should be able to tell you who installed the lamp and the make/mfg of the lamp. The installed may have parts, if not, then do as suggested above. Also, you might find parts on Ebay.
Hope this helps.

One more thought, if you find this in the wrong color, I am sure it can be painted (automotive spray paint, or high quality metal paint) to match.

You could measure the top of the lamppost for the cap you are looking for and then try Home Depot and Lowe’s to see if they have something that will fit. I’ve seen lamppost caps previously in both stores. They’re cheap too.

I was trying to think of a way to make one that doesn't look home made. I couldn't but I did think of an adapt that might work with any cap in the store. pm me if you want to hear my idea.
