I do sew but I concentrate on window treatments and home accessories. I did see a sign at Colony Cleaners out on 466A that says they do alterations. You might try giving them a call. I'd offer to help, but I'm really tied up with making and altering family dresses for our son's upcoming wedding.

I also think I saw an ad in The Daily Sun, under sewing, for someone doing alterations. You might check that out as well.

a friend just recommended a local lady named yola buchanan of alterations by yola..352-430-2649. she said she is very reliable and efficient and also very reasonably priced. she lives in lady lake....

Default found a seamstress

I am sorry. This is a very old posting, but, happily I found a very good seamstress: Nancy Bauman. Thanks to all of you for responding.

Frankly I'm having difficulty making sense of this "Talk of the Villages Site." It takes too long to do searches or to make postings. Downloading is extremely slow. Also the site tries to do too many things at one time and is not intuitive. It probably needs another system programmer.

Sounds like you need faster Internet service. Don't know if it's your computer or your internet provider, but TOTV is extremely fast for me.
