Just had my oil changed at Wildwood Tire on 44. It was about $60. Didn’t have to wait long and they were very nice.

. At the price of oil these days, I do not think so. And it all depends on what vehicle you have and how many quarts or gallons it takes and then if you use synthetic or base oil. Both of my cars use synthetic and hold 9 quarts. The oil itself is more than $50. IMO and I'm a gear head, the best deal is WAL Mart. They have a very good selection of major brands and nobody even comes close dollar wise. I buy my oil off the shelf, go around and get a quality filter. Then go to their service dest and have them install what you just bought. They charge $29 for the service which is more than reasonable. I use the
WalMart on 466 before 301.

Geared here, 8000 miles on oil, no way, unless you want to buy engines. That figure is used so that you need a new engine the day after the warranty☺️ expires. Ask ANY mechanic!

And leaves all the gunk in. the oil pan. Just ask Mercedes Benz how that worked for them!!

Yes they will change the oil, but when the engine takes a dump do the fix or replace it, and guaranteed they will say the engine dump was NOT due to oil problems. They have lawyers, lots of em.

So, this post just proves how cost driven many are here in the Villages. Why would you want to risk shortening the life of you vehical by cheaping-out on one of the most important aspects of maintencence to save a couple of dollars?

But I heard a rumor that the new White Castle they are building in Claremont will have an express oil change drive through where they change your oil and clean the windows for $29.99, no tax, no fees, no contract. I think they use the used cooking oil instead of mobile-1 syntethic but who cares? $29.99!!!

Check Leesburg there are several Quick Change places. No clue what they are charging these days.

As I stated upthread, the reason I asked was bc the last one UpNorth was $35, six months ago and I thought maybe the quotes I was getting were bc it's TV. No one one is suggesting "cheaping out"; OTOH an oil change is the most basic of automotive services so it seems that it shouldn't need to be excessively expensive. I guess YMMV.

Anyway, thanks for all the replies, especially the ones that weren't snarky.

All the threads I searched were more about oil change intervals, not cost.
I’m from Georgia, Earth and in metro Atlanta (Earth), oil changes were around $50, give or take a few $$ for my Mazda SUV.

I recently traded in a 2008 Honda with 110000 on the clock, changed the oil when the milage minder told me to , about 10000, burned no oil, started as it always had gas mileage the same as when new
