We put in black plastic edging. That seems to help. We get some growth under the edging but much less of a problem than with no edging. I still do some hand pulling but if there are no "delicate" plants nearby, I carefully spray the zoysia with roundup.

Cardboard boxes (1 layer) cut to fit around the slab works real well in keeping weeds down.

I used Adam Neusbaum last year and he appears to be a really nice guy. He show up at my CYV dress like he was going to church. He proceed to ask me where I want my 25 bails to be placed. I was shocked based on the fact that pine straw is something I don't handle with good clothes on. If I didn't need all 25 bails he said he buy them back and also pick them up.
