Default Luggage Repair

Does anyone know who does luggage repair? Have a piece of good luggage that needs a zipper repaired. Anyone have that done and what was the cost and the result? Thanks!

I'd be interested in this thread myself - need to replace the wheels on the suitcase.

Thrifty Gracie says that it may be as expensive to fix it as it is to buy new.

Although not as handsome or as luxurious, the new luggage sets are lighter weight (Important these days when we fly) and we aren't carrying as much as we once did.

You can purchase several pieces of luggage now for under a hundred dollars.

Just a thought. I am very big on repair and reuse, but maybe not in this instance.

When the handle on a new Samsonite carry-on broke a couple of years ago I contacted them to find a repair facility. After discussing the problem on the phone they sent me what they thought was the necessary part for repair. It wasn't the right part. Ended up getting it repaired at a luggage repair place in Tampa, they covered it under warranty.

I would call the manufacturer of the luggage and ask them for a repair location in this area.

Yes, I might have to call the luggage place. I have a Hartman and they are pretty pricey........ugh.
