I take mine up to Porter's Home and Garden Supply, a few miles north on Rt.441. I am sure there are others. I think Ace Hardware on Rt 466 fills them also.

You can exchange them for $20 at Home Depot on 441, or they will refill your tank at the ACE hardware on 301 in Wildwood. Can't remember the cost, but it was a little less then the exchange price. The ACE is the closest if you live in the South and the HD if you live in the North.

Blue Parrot RV Park one mile East of 441 on Griffin Ave then left on CR 25 1/4 mile on the right. If your car breaks down, the auto repair place across the street from Blue Parrot is very good. (The Lady Lake Post Office is a right turn on CR 25 down a 1/2 mile on right).

Griffin is right in front of Perkins Restaurant at 441.

If your tank is new tell them to purge it first (should be no additional charge).

Poters or Ace Hardware are the best places ..BE CAREFUL did you read the article in the paper about 1-2 weeks ago where Blue Rino the concession you exchange propane gas tanks at such places as Home Deport were NOT fillling the tanks up all the way in order to save on costs rather than increase the price. That is down right deceptive!!!!

I got a "new" tank filled here 2 weeks ago. $2 additional charge for purge and it was still only $17.

Default propane tanks

We are still on our first tank on our grill. I was wondering; is it a refill of the existing tank or an exchange of a full tank?
There is also Lowes.

If you have a Blue Rhino or similar tank, it's an exchange.

If it's your own tank, it needs to refilled (not by Blue Rhino etc).

Mitch it's a refill of an exhisting tank. Again in "my" case it was a new tank that I'd purchased at Sams for $28.95 + tax. I went next door to Home Depot only to be told that Ace Hardware fills them. If you're in the market for a "new" tank, Sams seems to be the cheapest that I've found.

If you cook with propane, you need to get a GasWatch Propane Gauge http://www.gaswatch.com/ I have had one for a couple weeks. I expect it will eliminate these dreaded words from my wife: "We're outta gas!"
