Default Magellan Construction or Kilcrease Construction

Has anyone used either of these businesses? We are looking also to enclose our lanai also and would love your opinion on these two companies.

Default I Also Used White

Aluminum based on the stellar reviews I read on TOTV, and would not use them again. I had to call them back several times to fix things , and while they were less expensive than others, I am still not completely satisfied with the quality of their work.

We live in a stucco courtyard villa that backs to a wall. We want to enclose our lanai with a knee high wall and low-e glass. Not sure if we want to run A/C since its use will be during fall/winter/and spring. Just a simple heater during the cold winter nights. I read here and heard that some recommend to use T & D Concrete. I know they do birdcages as we planned to use them for that but enclosures, seems a bit odd.

Any others to recommend would be helpful.

Default Melton Construction

I would also recommend Melton. Great job at a reasonable price.

We've used Whites Aluminum for glassing in a lanai and building two birdcages. They're not perfect, but so far they've returned to remedy any problems (small things like not enough caulking).

They were prompt about obtaining building permits and completed the work on the promised dates.

This was also our experience with White Aluminum. Based on the recommendations on TOTV and also checking out several of the jobs they did we had them enclose our lanai with low e-glass and add a large birdcage. There were several items that needed to be corrected and it took much longer than they had estimated.

We are very satisfied with the finished product but would not recommend White Aluminum. The job should have been done right to begin with and not require having to contact the president of the company to get it done correctly.

With all the rains we've been having, I've been finding many worms on the floor in our birdcage. Obviously we need more caulking. The birdcage was added last February. It will be very interesting to see how they react to my request for a correction.

I just sent you a PM with the name/number of our general contractor, a former Village building supervisor, who is enclosing our lanai in Glass and making it part of our family room by taking out the sliding glass doors and adding heat/ac, crown moulding, tile floors, built in nook etc. He is also building a separate (CBS) hobby room accessible from both the master bedroom and new extended family room. We are probably 80% complete. Cold weather really held up the project because they had to take the SGDs down and as you know the weather was not very cooperative.
Hi Susie, I am looking for someone to add on a closed lani to our villa. Can you give me the contractors name you used. Thank You in advance brucedi

I seen work by Elite design they are on 301..omg there design is breathtaking I can see a job and know its theirs. The length and width of windows used makes it so unique and to me so worth doing an improvement, and for resale go big or stay the same. I believe they do not sub out, which is huge.

I am working with this same contractor now and so far am very happy. I did contact TV and asked for a recommendation which they gladly gave me. They said he left TV on good terms because he wanted to start his own business...exactly what he told me.

I will update when my project is finished.

We had White's Aluminum enclose our lanai with low e-glass sliders. They had the best price of the 4 estimates we got and they did a good job. We are very happy with the end result.

We used T&D 18 months ago to inclose our Lanai. They were excellent, however they were not the cheapest. Based on recommendations and references we went with them even though they were a little higher. Very professional, courteous and there subcontractors all worked as a precision team. We always knew who to expect, what would be done that week, and when the inspector would be there to inspect the progress. We are now looking to add a golfcart garage and we are obtaining four bids, one which will be T&D.
